It’s main trading business Tristate Produce Merchants, located at Flemington Markets, was established over 40 years ago by Group Chairman Peter Tripodina. Having started out as a small wholesaler it has grown to serve all of Australia’s leading chain stores including Woolworths, Coles, Aldi as well as the largest independent retailers and has partnerships with the country’s leading growers. It’s main produce lines include mangoes, melons, broccoli, lettuce, celery and most other vegetables.
Over the past decade Tristate Holdings has grown its agriculture portfolio from a wholesale business into a vertically integrated entity having invested/ owned operated in farms including glass house tomatoes, mangoes, rock melons, live-stock as well as wine and a key strategic retail location to support its main trading business.
Today Tristate Holdings looks to invest in businesses with a core focus on fresh produce/food where it can leverage off its supply chain distribution network and operating infrastructure to create competitive efficiencies. With global food supply a main issue across commodity markets Tristate Holdings is looking to capitalise Australian businesses with strong management experience where it can utilise it’s existing assets to create benefits to all stakeholders.
